ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 download
The final release of ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 (formerly code-named 'Atlas') has been announced.
This new framework for creating more sophisticated user experiences on the Web was released as a free download and there has been a major update to the http://ajax.asp.net/ community site to coincide with this release.

MOSS 2007 - Virtualization Support
FAQ - is the virtualization of MOSS 2007 supported ?

There is now product support for WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 with Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 x86 or x64 (download).
Microsoft Virtual PC can be used in non production environments but there will be no support.
Support for third party virtualization remains similar to how it has in the past. Please refer to KB 897615. It's possible that product support will require that the issue is reproduced in a non virtualized environment if they suspect that the virtual environment is a potential contributing factor in the issue.

MOSS 2007 - MoReq2
On 1st December the European Commission announced that it has selected the bid from Cornwell Management Consultants plc to be awarded the MoReq2 development contract.
As part of Cornwell's process for defining the MoReq2 spec, they have invited vendors and customers to participate in a panel, in which requirements and feedback will be gathered.
Microsoft have been invited to participate in this panel, and we have accepted the invite. This will allow us to keep close to the process and feed back our thoughts and ideas.

Microsoft Unveils Wave of New Products and Services at CES
Speaking at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show, Gates and Bach have announced several new products and services that include new Windows Vista-inspired PCs, never-before-seen Windows Vista features, an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV)-enabled Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, and a new partnership with Ford Motor Co. that will extend digital experiences to the car.
